Asked and answered

How deep is it, and will it fit my bed?

0 cm, give or take a centimetre. Measure from your slats to the top of the side rail: a mattress much deeper than the surround loses the edge support the frame was giving it.

Shallow enough for bunk beds, cabin beds and frames with a low surround, where a safety rail has to stand clear of the sleeping surface.

Can I use it on a slatted base?

Yes, provided the slats are no more than 7 cm apart. Wider gaps let the mattress settle into them over time, and that is excluded from the guarantee. On a solid platform, stand the mattress on its side for an hour a few times a year so the underside can dry out.

Does it need turning?

No — it is a no-turn build. Rotate it head to foot every three months for the first year, then twice a year after that.

Is it UK fire-safety compliant?

Yes. BS 7177 Low Hazard, under the Furniture and Furnishings (Fire) (Safety) Regulations 1988, with a permanent Schedule 7 label sewn into the border.

Is it really dispatched within 24 hours?

Yes, on working days. Order Monday to Friday before 3 pm UK time and your mattress is cut, sewn, roll-packed and handed to the courier by the next working day. We are the factory, so nothing waits on a supplier. Miss it and you get £50 back. Delivery to your door takes a further 4–6 working days.

How do I measure?

Measure the internal opening of the frame at its narrowest point, then take 2 cm off the width and the length.

Can I return a made-to-measure mattress?

A made-to-measure mattress is cut for one bed and cannot be resold, so the 100-night trial and the 14-day cancellation right do not apply (Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, reg. 28(1)(b)). If it does not match the drawing on your order confirmation we remake it free; if your measurements were wrong, at 50%. Your rights for faulty goods are unaffected.

Is it the same foam as the standard range?

Yes — same foam, same fire-safety certification, same guarantee.
